Kauai What a Beautiful Island

Sunday 15th April
I found a church to visit called  Jesus Saves Mission, it was quite far away but i decided to walk thinking it would be a great way to see Kapaa the wonderful town I'm staying in. It was quite a walk and the sun was out and its humid, so by the time I had arrived about 45minutes walk, I was sweating and gross, but they didn't care. I was welcomed in and they put me up the front and got out their ukulele's and sang me a welcome song and everyone came up and introduced themselves to me and they put a beautiful ribbon lei on me, I felt like i was being welcomed in by my family. Now I have definitely never experienced anything like this. They invited me to lunch and gave me a lift home.

Kanui the most beautiful lady
 Monday 16th April
I went on a river cruise to the fern grotto, the grotto wasn't too exciting as a hurricane had taken alot of it out but the entertainment was authentic Hawaiian song and dance as we cruised along the river, a real treat! Then I relaxed by the pool for the arvo mmmmmmmm.
 Me at the grotto!

Tuesday 17th April
Helicopter ride around Kauai whhooo what fun, it was a bit turbulent flying around massive mountains, so I had hold of the sick bag a couple of times but luckily it was a false alarm.
What sights!!!

Crazy Charmaine ready to fly!!!!
Canyons we even flew in to a crater, oh the turbulence was a bit feisty...
 Napali Coast OOHHHHH SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I had fish tacos for lunch what an experience mmmm  mmmmm
Nothing like chilling out in the spa!!
Wednesday 18th April
The bible says ask and you shall receive, I really wanted to drive around the island and see the North part of the island, so I asked my beautiful Jesus and what do you know I met a wonderful couple John and Dee who invited me to go out with them in their rental car for the day and cruise the North shore.

This lighthouse this is a sanctuary for all types of birds
I always wanted to be a mermaid!

The famous Nepali Coast in the background, I think I need to pinch myself I'm actually here its not a dream!!
We found two extinct lava tubes/ caves they are just on the side of the road and they are huge!

Now I can leave Kauai satisfied I found a monk seal these little guys are endangered only 40 on the island and 900 left in the world, so this was a rare sight. So cute I wanted to take one home in my suitcase.

An End to another day and what a day my last full day on this beautiful tropical paradise, thanks God!

I jumped ship

Then we went overnight to our last destination on 4 Islands Kauai, when i woke up to this view from my cabin balcony I knew I had to stay and so I did, I got off of the ship which was going back to Honolulu, which is really just a cement city anyway and am now staying for 6 nights in tropical, Jurassic park Kauia. It was funny to see peoples expressions on the ship when i told them I was staying they were blown away that I gave myself that much freedom to stay on whatever island I liked best. I think they all wanted to join me, I don’t blame them.
Gorgeous Kauai port from my cabin balcony, its a realy big mountain, if you look at the size of the boats!

I went to the brilliant Waimea Canyon, oh so beautiful, majestic...

A cool blow hole, My brilliant photograpy lol, I have a really good video of it though

I went to a really cool Luai held on a beautiful plantation we ate pig and lots of other stuff, just like a big BBQ then they had a big hawiian show, very cool with lots of dancers!!!

New Friends!!
I met a lovely mum and daughter from the ship they are from Denmark!

We ate wild pig that is it coming from the ground, it taste amazing!
Then we had the show with brilliant dancers...

So I did one day on ship in Kauai then it was time to shake of the sea legs, check out my new hotel Courtyard Marriott, the favor of God goes before me and I got upgraded to an oceanview, I can look out at the ocean from my bed, now that is insane!

Front yard to the Hotel!

View from my room mmm nice

An afternoon of lazing by the pool!!!Nice hey!!!

Good Friday Waikiki then onto the Cruise around the Hawiian Islands

I went to the Good Friday service of New Hope Church, it was held in an areana, a bit of a challenge to get to by bus but eventually I did, they had a brilliant service on. I really didn’t want to catch a bus home so I prayed for a lift home. So as I was walking out of the loo’s I asked a lady where the bus stop was going back to Waikiki and she said, “I don’t know where it is but I can give you a lift”. What a very big blessing!
I boarded the Pride of America for a 7 day cruise around the Hawaiian island. My room is fantastic with a balcony, its gorgeous luxury!! The first night was insane fun!! I went from a live band and dancing on the pool deck, to a 3 course meal with lobster and snapper I felt like Kate Winslett in the Titanic (before the ship sank ha ha ), the dining room was full of chandeliars and thick velvet curtains, it was beautiful and so was the food, all I needed was a royal blue dress. Then I watched a brilliant show similar to Jersey Boys, it was spectacular, I could have continued all night as there is so much to do, due to a cold, I went to sleep about 10am.

A day of relaxing on the boat, I went into the Maui centre, then just chilled out in the spa and pool. Cruises are simply the best, I went back to my room to find my towel in the shape of a bunny rabbit for Easter. I went to a very boring Easter service on ship yawn!!!
Days on the cruise all blurred into one, what an absolute brilliant way to see the Hawiian Islands.
I sat in the spa on the ship overlooking this view, gee life is hard!!! LOL
I watched incredible shows, danced (my favourite), learnt how to hula which is like playing charades, met too many people, one night I had dinner in my cabin because I was sick of talking, everybody wants to know the Aussie, everybody loves Aussies!!
I listened to the coolest country band, most Americans love country so was in my element, I even bought their cd's.
I loved Hilo an incredible tropical wonderand, except it rain most of the time but so so beautiful and waterfalls everywhere!
Volcanic lagoons and cute little or shall I say big turtles.
I got saved again in this wonderful tropical paradise, I visited the botanical gardens, an absolute wonderland!

This tropical wonderland opened out to the ocean, to my surprise wowwowwow
I sat on a cliff and had lunch to this incredible view near the kohola waterfalls on the border of Hilo and Kona.

So as you can see I'm having a bit of fun !!!!

April 3
I landed in Honolulu after an over nighter which I might say that my trip to the docs for some sleeping pills was a very good idea. I'm staying  Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, wow, wow, wow pools, spa's, shops galore, penguins, flamingos, waterfalls this place is a paradise in itself. So I have been lazing by the pool and enjoying lots  of pineapple, it is so sweet over here!  My room view is gorgeous I overlook the lagoon and ocean.

  April 4

Veiw from my hotel balcany nice hey!!!
I went to New Hope Church they had a prayer and worship night on, wow definitely the friendliest church I have ever visited, Ron showed me around the entire church (just because I was new) I met about 40 people and most hugged me and were genuinely interested in me and then wow we had an amazing night of brilliant worship. I was given a lift back to my hotel (and a drive tour of the city )which was 30 minutes away because they were were concerned for my safety. Its really nice to find a home away from home!!

April 5
I woke up and went for a walk and then sat on balcony and enjoyed the view and time with God and then felt so exhausted I went to sleep. In summary walk, sleep, read .....my kind-a-day
